We are now a couple of months in to having the first teams within the club. From the past of having 17 sides at one point, through to starting September with no kids teams at all, get teams in the field was a big milestone.
On January 29th, we had two games at home as we manged to field both a Under 7’s and Under 8’s side. The 7’s, managed by Jon Stock took on Ashwell Academicals and the 8’s, managed by Aaron Puleston entertained Royston Town Youth Crows. It was a great day to have these two matches happening whilst the Under 6’s, 9’s and 10’s trained in the background.
To stand back and see what was happening, it was the first time the hard work in the background really started to show through, we felt like a club again.
A big well done to Jacob of the Under 7’s who scored the first ever goal of the new era.
