**CHANGING OF THE GUARD**

After 29 years, Julie Lancaster has stepped away from being the driving force of the club. Whilst Julie was sad to do this, having founded the club, she felt a new approach and energy was needed.

Aaron Puleston, our Vice Chairman will take on the responsibility of rebuilding the club to its former glory and he has big plans, including putting a lot of time and effort in to charging the lives of local children – continuing the legacy of the club from it’s very beginnings.

Aaron knows the best way to succeed is to have committed people who share the same vision. All of the current committee will stay in place with the addition of Jon Stock. Jon came through Hatfield Youth and went on to play for the men’s team. Prior to him travelling he also undertook training sessions for youth players at that point.

SOME OF THE SHORT TERM PLANS INCLUDE;

  • A full rebrand and modernisation of the club. Andi Creative (https://andicreative.wordpress.com/) will be enlisted to do this
  • New social media and website – Andi Creative will again play a big part in this, making sure we showcase the club.
  • Add to the coaching team. Buster Thomas, owner of BGKT Coaching and Fitness will be delivering sessions (www.instagram.com/bgkt52)
  • Open age training sessions – The view is to get training sessions across a few age groups whilst we build up the numbers to then enter teams into the respective leagues and age groups.(Looking to join? Get in touch, [email protected])
  • Sponsorship – Talk to potential partners and extend deals with current sponsors. (Interested? Please get in touch! [email protected])

PHILOSOPHY

We want to be competitive and challenge to win but we also plan on being able to offer football to any child and any ability. Not everyone one will play professional, but everyone can have fun. What we aim to do is provide a platform for kids to enjoy football no matter how good they are, that’s what makes Hatfield Youth stand out from other clubs.
